CREO is seeking new partners to kick off a new phase of project FORESTIA. Our team would like to launch a new mission that takes place in a new ecosystem and covers a broader array of topics, such as forest management and wildlife, reforestation, wood processing and the advantages of wood materials, and fighting insect infestations.
The FORESTIA simulation engine can also be adapted to introduce young people to other activity sectors such as mining, urban development, the environment, fisheries, shipping, international development, energy, agriculture, climate and transportation. Through the use of game technology, CREO can provide government agencies, businesses, foundations and scientific organizations with a number of communications and education platforms, including GAME FOR SCIENCE (http://www.game-for-science.ca), to promote common objectives such as:
- generating interest among young people for science and technology;
- encouraging more of them to go into the sciences;
- promoting cutting-edge Canadian scientific knowledge, occupations, projects, issues and research, and informing about current issues;
- fostering a closer connection between the sector of activity and society.
To become a FORESTIA partner, or to discuss other GAME FOR SCIENCE options, please contact CREO president, Caroline Julien, at cjulien@creo.ca ou (514) 278-9595 ext. 21.
